3. The Mandala, p. 148

The image of a mandala on page 148 was produced from the vibrations of quartz sand on a resonating disc. It is the concluding page of the chapter on music. The mandala symbolizes the effort to focus everything around a common center. It was discovered that this image appears exactly in the center of the book. This was not planned for. In addition, the chapter on music comprises a central theme which is used in the final chapter of the book.
